About Me

I recently completed my Ph.D. at the Department of Statistics at UC Berkeley, where I was advised by Professors Giles Hooker and Bruno Olshausen. During my Ph.D., I worked on informative and compact data representations, such as graph embeddings and disentangled representation learning. Before that, I earned a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Neuroscience at UC San Diego, with an honors thesis on the genetics of bipolar disorder under Professors Tiffany Greenwood and John Kelsoe.

In my free time, I enjoy reading fiction (all kinds!), cooking, and playing video games. One day I hope to combine all three and make a visual novel about the mishaps of an aspiring chef.
